Trump's Push To Cut "Bloated Federal Bureaucracy" Already Has Modest Impact
  • 6 years ago
According to a report by Reuters, President Donald Trump's campaign to reduce the size of the "bloated federal bureaucracy" has already made a dent in the federal workforce. Just days after his inauguration in January, Trump ordered a hiring freeze which was soon replaced with an order to cut staff immediately. In April, the White House Office of Management and Budget issued an order for agencies to start staffing cuts and to submit plans for longer-term reductions by September.
