President Trump has made Twitter one of his main means of communication with the public, and, while some may not take every word he types literally or even seriously, others do.
The latter group reportedly includes the Kremlin, reports Reuters.
Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for Russian President Vladimir Putin, told the news agency Interfax on Tuesday, "Everything that comes out of his authorized Twitter [account] is perceived in Moscow as his official statements and nothing else."
"Naturally, it is reported to Putin along with other information about official statements by politicians," Peskov further noted.
The representative was asked to comment on the contents of Trump's tweets but declined.
Trump's recent Twitter activity includes sharing anti-Muslim videos posted by a known far-right group from Britain, a proclamation that the FBI is in "tatters," and a call to boycott CNN.
