Mercedes-Benz Vans boss Steve puts in a shift with DPD

Mercedes-Benz Vans UK Ltd Managing Director Steve Bridge has fostered his own, personal brand of ‘connectivity’ between the manufacturer and some of its biggest and most important customers. It involves spending precious time out on the road, working alongside the men and women who use Mercedes-Benz vans to help them do their jobs. With that in mind, Steve recently set aside a day from his busy diary to visit the West Midlands headquarters of DPD, which runs a fleet of 4,500 Mercedes-Benz vehicles, the vast majority of them from the Sprinter range. The partnership between the two companies goes back more than 25 years. DPD had arranged for Steve to join driver Zack Lunn on a delivery round in and around the Black Country town of Dudley so that Steve could see exactly why the reliability of the Sprinter was so important to the role.
