Stunning Timelapse Video Shows Volcanic Ash Cloud Erupting from Mount Agung

A volcanic ash cloud erupted from Mount Agung on November 27 as Bali’s residents held their breath for a full-scale eruption.This timelapse video shows the moment ash began spewing from the volcano, which had been threatening to erupt since September 2017. The footage was taken by an onlooker at the nearby Pura Kiduling Kreteg temple. It shows a one-hour period condensed into 40 seconds. The eruption was the first at the volcano in 50 years, the BBC reported. About 40,000 people were evacuated from a 10km radius of the volcano, Aljazeera reported.
