A woman in New Jersey reportedly crashed into a street sign in the early hours of Saturday and didn't notice that it had flown into the air, impaled her car, and was sticking out of the vehicle's roof, reports WABC.
52-year-old Maria Vazquez was questioned by police after she pulled into a restaurant parking lot in South Hackensack.
Vazquez told authorities she'd stopped because she heard an odd sound coming from beneath her car.
According to WCBS, one of the officers pointed out the sign sticking through her car and said that the woman responded, "Wow, I didn't even know that was there."
Police had her perform a field sobriety test, which she is said to have failed.
Vazquez has reportedly been charged with careless driving and DWI.
