Sluggish global economy also taking toll on tax collection

Malaysia's tax collection seems to be the latest victim of the sluggish global economy. Latest figures from the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) show, 114 billion ringgit of direct tax was collected last year, decreasing from 116.8 billion ringgit in 2015.
