More needs to be done to grow SMEs - Wahid

There is more that needs to be done to grow the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) sector in Malaysia to become world-class players, said Minister In The Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Abdul Wahid Omar.
He said the SME sector is the largest provider of employment, providing about 60 per cent of job opportunities, 32 per cent to the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and 19 per cent to exports.
