BNM might consider tougher policies - MARC

Bank Negara is expected to consider tougher policies in an effort to keep financial imbalances in check. According to Malaysian Rating Corp Bhd (MARC), Bank Negara may introduce more macro prudential measures to scale back the over leveraged position of the household sector. One of these measures may lead to an increase in Bank Negara's policy rate.
