In Person -- Kecil-kecil cili padi suitably describes him, the second forest botanist in Malaysia whose humble beginnings were in a village in Solo, Indonesia. His focus and ambition led him to Cambridge and later to become renowned in his chose field by discovering 3000 specimens of plants in the lush forests of Malaysia. And at 75 years of age, Dr. Engkik Soepadmo shows no sign of retiring.
