Triplet baby born at 25 weeks sees clearly for first time with glasses

Adorable video of a baby - one of two surviving triplets born at just 25 weeks - seeing clearly for the first time after getting her first pair of glasses.

The footage, shot in February 2016 in California, shows two-year-old Kaylynn looking around confused.

"Can you see better now?" says dad to Kaylynn as he places a pair of purple specs - matching her purple top - on her head.

"Say hi world! You have glasses! Can you see us?" asks mom.

Then Kaylynn magically starts to smile at her parents and giggles.

"You can see us, can't you?" says mom.

Kaylynn then tilts her head back to take in the surroundings.

The triplets were born in December 2014 at 25 weeks. Kaylynn was the second born. The eldest passed away at seven months, weighing 1lb 4oz.

When she was aged two months old and weighed just over 2 lbs, Kaylynn had laser-eye surgery to correct retinopathy of prematurity, a a disease that causes abnormal blood vessels to grow in the retina.

Her mom later wrote online: "On February 26 2016, Kaylynn got her first pair of glasses and was able to see clearly for the first time! Her glasses prescription was -6.00 & -4.00 at the time so her eyesight was much worse than we could have anticipated.

"She became a much happier baby after getting her glasses!!"
