Aaron Boone is going to be the next manager of the New York Yankees, as first reported by the New York Daily News. Boone is a former Yankees player who has worked as an on-air analyst for ESPN since 2010. Five other candidates were interviewed for the job, including the other finalist, San Francisco Giants bench coach Hensley Meulens. This is Boone's first time managing a team, though he isn't the first in his family to do so. Boone's father, Bob, was a manager in the MLB for both Kansas City and Cincinnati.
