A motorist avoided serious injury after he fell onto the street while trying to prevent a carjacker from stealing his vehicle in Stockton, California, on November 27, police said.Surveillance video taken from a nearby store shows a man approaching a vehicle and jumping into the driver’s seat while the owner is at the trunk. When the owner attempts to stop him, he can be seen falling to the ground as the vehicle speeds away. Another vehicle can be seen stopping abruptly close to where the man fell.Police said the vehicle’s owner was not severely injured and appealed for information to help identify the suspect.
