Delhi Development Authority carried a demolition drive in Chirag Market. More than 50 shops were demolished on November 29. According to the authority, shopkeepers have illegally occupied the lad at the Chirag Market, but on the other hand the shop owners claim that they have proper documents for their establishments. They further added that when in 2007 MCD sealed all markets, Chirag Market was the only one that kept on functioning after documents were verified. Watch this video to know more.
