A bill to legalize same-sex marriage in Australia is making its way to the Senate. The House of Representatives will vote on the bill this Monday. The bill is expected to pass, as majority of lawmakers in the lower house are all aboard. 43 senators voted in support of the bill, and only 12 voted against it. “It says to so many Australians, this parliament, this country, accept you for who you are. Your love is not lesser, and nor are you." "It says you’re one of us.”
