Paris Hilton Takes Credit For Pioneering Today's Young Celebrity

Paris Hilton might not make the headlines she used to, but she considers herself one of the founding members of today’s version of young celebrity.
The fashion mogul tells Ocean Drive magazine, “I was definitely before my time, and the beginning of a whole new era, and it started a new generation and genre of celebrity.”
Paris was on the forefront of reality TV shows, and would have certainly gravitated towards Instagram, Snapchat and all social media apps. According to the New York Post’s Page Six, Paris is even taking credit for the wave of stardom for younger celebrities.
She tells Ocean Drive magazine, “I think it was pretty groundbreaking, and I love being a pioneer… I’m very proud I started a whole new way for young people, young entrepreneurs and people with dreams to make a living and a very lucrative business off of it… Being a businesswoman, I would’ve loved to capitalize on it.”
Paris might be mostly working behind the scenes now, but she definitely isn’t forgotten about.
