Dictionary.com announces its 2017 word of the year

Dictionary.com today announced it has named 'complicit' as 2017's Word of the Year. The site defines the word as "choosing to be involved in an illegal or questionable act" and "having partnership or involvement in wrongdoing." the digital dictionary said in an announcement. According to The Associated Press, search for the word increased nearly 300 percent over last year.
