Following numerous sexual harassment allegations, journalist and former TV host Charlie Rose had his Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism award rescinded. a statement from Christopher Callahan said, "This unprecedented action is taken with the utmost seriousness and deliberation.” After a career spanning several decades, Rose received the award in 2015. eight women who previously worked, or were interviewed by, Rose recently alleged he had engaged in lewd and inappropriate behavior. Until then, he held what was widely viewed as an untarnished reputation in the industry.
