Asylum seekers and refugess at Manus Regional Processing Centre screamed and shouted “we don’t want to die here” after Papua New Guinea police demanded they leave their camp on the morning of Thursday, November 23.Police told occupants they had “an hour to move,” according to The Courier Mail.Around 400 people continue to live at the facility after it was officially closed on November 1 and have been living in deteriorating conditions after the authorities in Papua New Guinea shut down access to food, water and electricity.
