Delhi Dynamos FC made a winning start to their Indian Super League 2017-18 campaign as they defeated FC Pune City 3-2 in Pune on Wednesday. After a goalless first-half, the match sprung into life in the second half. Delhi Dynamos took a 3-0 lead in a space of 19 minutes as Paulinho Dias, Lallianzuala Chhangte and Matias Mirabaje scored. But Pune’s Emiliano Alfaro pulled one back in the 67th minute to keep the home team in contention. Pune further reduced the gap in the added time with a beautiful strike from Marcos Tebar but it was too little, too late as Delhi pocketed three points from the away fixture.
