Report: Apple's iPhone X assembled with illegal student labor

A new report alleges that Apple used high school students to speed up production of their iPhone X. The Financial Times (FT) reports that a group of 3,000 students from the Zhengzhou Urban Rail Transit School were forced to work long hours at a local Foxconn facility as they assembled Apple’s flagship smartphone. Students participated for a
three-month stint and were told that it was "work experience.” Six students said they routinely worked 11-hour days. Apple noted to FT that they found instances of students working overtime, but said they were compensated and provided benefits. However, the tech giant said they shouldn't have been allowed to work over time.
