Crowds gathered outside Zimbabwe’s national parliament on November 21 as lawmakers opened a session to begin the process of impeaching President Robert Mugabe.Parliament speaker Jacob Mubenda said the parliament received a motion to impeach Mugabe and would adjourn to a hotel to start the impeachment proceedings, Reuters reported.The proceedings came after Mugabe defied his Zanu-PF party’s deadline to resign by noon on Monday, November 20.
