U.S. Threatens to Close Palestinians' D.C. Office

On Saturday, NBC News reported that the State Department threatened to close the Palestinians' Washington office on Friday, unless they enter direct, meaningful negotiations with Israel. The move could potentially give President Donald Trump more leverage as he seeks an elusive Mideast peace deal. The State department told NBC that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has determined that the Palestinians have run afoul of a U.S. law that allows their mission to the U.S. to function.
