Day 3 of the test match between India and Sri Lanka saw a full day's play after first 2 days were interrupted by rain. India were bundled out for 172 and in reply to that Sri Lanka managed to make 165 runs after losing 4 wickets at the end of the day's play. Suranga Lakmal was the star with 4/26 and he was given good support from Dasun Shanaka, Lahiru Gamage and Dilruwan Perera as India were bowled out for 172 on day 3 of the Kolkata Test. Bhuvneshwar Kumar struck early for India but Lahiru Thirimanne and Angelo Mathews scored fifties before Umesh Yadav struck twice.
