Dogs may be the kept to immortality. Well, not quite. But pretty close! A new study found people who owned pups had a lower risk of cardiovascular disease. People who tend to have dogs are more active, and active people choose dogs as pets. "The results showed that single dog owners had a 33% reduction in risk of death and 11% reduction in risk of heart attack." lead study author Mwenya Mubanga Dogs also encourage sociality and influence one's well-being, which contrasts to those living alone, who have been found to have a higher rate of cardiovascular death.
