Colombians live in fear as rebels fight over cocaine-rich land

In Pital de la Costa, a remote Hamlet on the Colombian coast bordering Ecuador, the villagers once hoped the peace deal with the FARC rebel group would give way to a better standard of living. But since FARC laid down their weapons, armed groups fight over this territory, where the country’s biggest numbers of cocaine plantations are found, and the residents live in continual fear.
