U.S. Supreme Court will decide if clinics can object California abortion law

A California law states that clinics should communicate with patients about seeking low-cost options for contraception and abortion through public programs. But some religiously-affiliated clinics object because they believe abortion is a sin. So, these clinics challenged the Supreme Court to review the law and take freedom of speech into account. A lawyer representing some of these clinics stated the law violates… "the principle that one cannot be conscripted into acting as a ventriloquist's dummy for a government message." The Supreme Court will hear the arguments and make a decision by June 2018.
