Cyclist avoids floods with his double-decker bike

This inventive cyclist was fed-up with floods - and built himself a double-decker bike.

Coffee shop owner Chan Pengpen, 38, welded together two old bicycles to form the bizarre contraption.

He joked that it helps him negotiate floods in his home town in Sakon Nakhon, northeastern Thailand.

Chan said: ''Now my legs don't get wet if I ride through floods. It is fun riding this but I cannot stay up there for a long time. It's very wobbly.''
