Self-Driving Cars and Trucks have gotten in accidents, but they also have several benificial qualities. According to nbcnews.com, experts believe that even if “‘Highly automated vehicles’ are… a bit safer than human-driven vehicles, it makes no sense to delay their deployment until their safety performance is significantly better or nearly perfect.” In a recent hypothetical study, if human’s switched to self-driving cars 1.1 million lives would be spared over a 50 year timespan.
