Taxi operators protest at the Union Buildings in Pretoria

Thousands of taxi operators brought Pretoria's inner city to a stand still today as they protested to demand more government assistance in the form of licenses and subsidies. Drivers dispersed this afternoon after delivering a memorandum of demands to the department of transport and the Union Buildings. They have given government 21 days to respond.
