Critics Groups Ban Disney From Awards Over L.A. Times Blackout

In response to Walt Disney Studio's media blackout on the Los Angeles Times, four of the most prominent film critics groups in the country have jointly denounced the studio and banned it from year-end awards consideration until it "publicly rescinds" the blackout. Disney reportedly barred the L.A. Times from attending advance screenings of Disney films in response to the paper's critical news coverage of the studio's dealings in the city of Anaheim.
