Twitter allows 280-character tweets

If you've ever wanted more than 140 characters to express yourself on Twitter, today is your day. On Tuesday, Twitter announced that it will now allow users to tweet up to 280-characters! Business Insider says that the company's change follows weeks of testing the longer limit with a sample group. They say that the group "spent more time on the platform and received more engagement, like retweets and likes, from their longer tweets." The newly expanded 280 character tweets are available for all users, "except those tweeting in Chinese, Japanese, and Korean."
