Large Swathes of Water Evident as Politician Surveys Deadly Penang Flooding

At least two people were killed, national news agency Bernama reported, and thousands of others were affected by serious flooding in Penang state, Malaysia, on November 4 and 5.Thousands more were also affected in Kedah province, Bernama also reported.The army was reportedly deployed after a 15-hour downpour led to extreme flooding. Penang’s capital, Georgetown, was reportedly inundated with brown floodwater.This footage shows an opposition politician, Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, meeting some of those affected by the flooding, and surveying the floodwaters in parts of Penang.
