Virat Kohli has become 2nd highest run scorer in T20 match after scoring 65 in 2nd T20 against New Zealand. His 18th T20 half century and second against New Zealand came off 32 balls and was laced with six boundaries and one six. He ultimately ended on 65 as India lost the match by 40 runs. Kohli has now surpassed Tillakaratne Dilshan to become the second highest run-scorer in T20I cricket. Brendon McCullum is the top T20I run-scorer with a tally of 2140. Sri Lanka's Dilshan had 1,889 runs from 80 matches, while Kohli overtook him in just 54 matches, to score 1,943 runs. Kohli is second behind New Zealand's Brendon McCullum, who has 2,140 runs in 71 matches. Not only that, Kohli reached 7,000 T20 runs overall, the first Indian, and 8th batsman in the world to do so.
