Sears will close 63 more U.S. stores after the holiday season

Sears Holding Corp is continuing closing stores in order to return to profitability. On Thursday, the company announced it would close 63 more locations around the U.S. Whirlpool Corp will also stop supplying some of its big name-brand appliances to the company. The stores will close around late January of 2018 and include 24 Kmart stores along with 18 Sears stores. Sears shares have lost 54 percent over the course of 2017, and on Friday, it ended with 4.8 percent lower at $5.17.
