A number of top aides will not be joining President Trump on his trip to Asia.

A number of top aides will not travel with President Trump to Asia amid the administration's push for tax reform.
Politico reported on Tuesday that Trump has insisted that daughter and White House adviser Ivanka Trump, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, and economic adviser Gary Cohn remain in the United States and rally support for the Republican tax plan.
According to Axios, they will be doing so by holding "tax-reform events in crucial states and blue House districts held by Republicans and speak with national and regional media."
Though Ivanka has reportedly canceled meetings in China and South Korea, she will still be visiting Japan at the invitation of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
Meanwhile, USA Today notes that President Trump will be traveling to "Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam, and the Philippines from Nov. 3-14."
In that time, he is anticipated to deliver an address at the South Korean National Assembly, attend two conferences focused on Asian economics, meet with Chinese officials, and hold discussions about diminishing the North Korean nuclear threat.
It is unclear if Trump intends to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who will also be in attendance at one of the summits, notes Politico.
