Firefighters Battle Blazes in North Italian Forest Park

Firefighters assisted by aircraft battled fires that were being helped by strong winds through the night of October 29 in the Campo dei Fiori Regional Park in Varese, northern Italy.Local media_ reported that 15 people were evacuated in the area due to the fire.Firefighters are said to be focussing on preventing the flames from spreading to an astronomical observatory in the area and a pine forest to the west.
