It is raining cats and dogs in Chennai, literally. Monday started on a rainy note as the capital city of Tamil Nadu received heavy rainfall throwing life out of gear. Because of the downpour, several areas have been waterlogged in the city, reported ANI. Earlier the IMD predicted heavy rainfall in Chennai and other coastal areas for two days, beginning from Monday. Chennai and other coastal districts are set to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours, stated IMD officials. The Met office has predicted a maximum and minimum temperature of 32 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius, respectively, for Chennai on Monday.
