The 2017 World Indoor Skydiving Championships Soar Indoors At 186MPH

More than 200 athletes competed to be the best synchronized skydivers in the world.

The athletes, who came from 23 countries, recently competed in eight different skydiving disciplines at the World Indoor Skydiving Championship in Laval, Canada. The competition included four-way formation skydiving, vertical formation skydiving, and open freestyle. Competitors are awarded points based on speed, technique or formation.

This year's competition, the second ever, took place at Canada's SkyVenture Wind Tunnel, which supports skydivers with a 186 mph torrent of air.
