Fire Destroys Hundreds of Cotton Bales in Texas

An early morning fire ripped through hundreds of bales of cotton, causing significant damage, in Roscoe, Texas, on Friday, October 27. The blaze caused an estimated $825,000 in damage at the Roscoe Co-op Gin, a news report said.The fire started in a bur pile around 2 am, and wind gusts of 39 miles per hour fueled the fire making it impossible for firefighters to extinguish the blaze, according to the report.
