China Is Using "Skynet" To Monitor Its Citizens

China's "Skynet" tracking technology could be the world's most advanced surveillance system.

It uses artificial intelligence technology, GPS tracking, and a network of more than 20 million CCTV cameras to track its citizens. The cameras employ facial recognition software that matches people with the government's existing national ID database. Police are then notified whenever the system spots a wanted criminal.

Could this be the future of mass surveillance?
