See Spot run. See Spot fetch. See Spot take drugs?

For the first time in the history of the Iditarod sled race, several dogs competing in the legendary 1,000-mile, Alaskan event recently tested positive for a banned substance. The top 20 finishers were tested six hours after the race in March. When the tests came back, the dogs on one team were positive for the pain reliever Tramadol.

Officials have not publicly named the team, but the burden of truth is ultimately placed on the musher. Yet, the team's musher was not penalized, according to media reports, and will be able to compete in next year's race.
