Vladimir Putin Wants You To Enlist In The Russian Army!

Want to join the Russian Army? Now you can.

Russian President Vladimir Putin recently issued a decree authorizing foreigners to serve in combat positions. Non-Russians will also be able to serve on anti-terrorism missions. The decree comes as Russia's military engages in Syria and Ukraine with an all-volunteer army.

This isn't the first time foreigners have been called upon to fight. Non-Russian soldiers fought for the Soviet Union, most notably in the Soviet-Afghan War in the 1980s. But since the end of the Cold War, foreigners have been relegated to non-combat units. Now, non-Russians will be able to serve on the battlefield.
