Weeks since the Harvey Weinstein investigation first broke, some Russian celebrities who've publicly sympathized with the Hollywood mogul are coming to his defense.
Russian actress Lyubov Tolkalina said that sexual harassment can be “beautiful," and asking what difference it makes if you get the role. Actress Agniya Kuznetsova blamed the victims, saying, “They don’t have to act like prostitutes." Kuznetsova added that she feels sorry for Weinstein. Rounding out the sympathetic sentiment is model Ksenia Alexandrova, who said that, thanks to the leadership of Russian President Vladimir Putin, a Weinstein-like scandal would never happen in Russia.
