A 5-year-old recently donated everything she had to victims of the deadly earthquake in Mexico.
The piggy bank belonging to Renata contained 900 pesos, or roughly $48. As she explained in her self-filmed video, Renata emptied it in order to buy food and water for survivors. In the video, Renata asked everyone to collect and donate to "prevent the world from becoming an ugly place." The video went viral, reaching 15 million views in less than a week.
The 7.1 magnitude earthquake hit Mexico on Sept. 19, claiming hundreds of lives and destroying the livelihoods of thousands more. Hopefully, Renata will inspire even more people to help.
