Miri Ben-Ari, UN Goodwill Ambassador of Music, performs and speaks at the General Assembly of the United Nations about her dream: Peace in the Middle East. Miri tells the audience “music is the opposite of hate, music is all about building bridges, music is harmony, and history shows us that hate doesn’t get us anywhere. I was born and raised in Israel and I have a dream of a Middle East that would have peace in my lifetime, and so I would like to hear instead of the old song of hate and BDS, I would like to hear and new song: a new song of people that are not afraid to build bridges, a new song song of people that have a dream, just like me, a new song of peace and harmony, just like music." The event was a UN summit "Building Bridges," organized by the Israeli permanent representative to the UN, Danny Danon, with the presence of political figures and ambassadors including Nikki Haley, the US Ambassador to the UN. The summit’s goal was to end the hateful BDS propaganda against Israel, and instead focus on building bridges. @miribenari www.miribenari.com
