Britain's National Film Institute (the BFI) brings to life 'lost' film masterpieces at its National Archive Conservation Centre outside London using a combination of painstaking manual work and the latest digital techniques. AFP went behind the scenes to see the restoration of 'Shiraz', a 1928 Indian film which is having its restored version premiered at the London Film Festival on Saturday 14 October 2017.
