Anupam Kher takes over as FTII Chairman

Veteran actor Anupam Kher on Wednesday was named the new Chairman of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune. Kher will succeed the controversial Gajendra Chauhan, whose appointment had triggered student protests. While, its former Chairman Gajendra Chauhan said The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) needs a good administrator, more than a good actor.
