Dove ad shows a black woman turning herself white, sparks backlash

Dove posted an apology after an outrage over its ad. A Dove Facebook ad showed a black woman lifting her shirt to reveal a white woman. Consumers erupted in outrage at the ad. A white supremacist group posted their support for it. Dove has given no explanation for the ad outside of its apology.
