Modi Government and Delhi governments have come face to face with the increase in fares for the Delhi Metro. Now the Delhi Government has proposed to run the Metro itself. In a letter written to the Union Urban Development Ministry, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said that if the Center wants the Delhi Government is ready to run the metro.

दिल्ली मेट्रो का किराया बढ़ाने को लेकर केंद्र और दिल्ली सरकार आमने-सामने आ गई हैं. अब दिल्ली सरकार ने ख़ुद मेट्रो चलाने का प्रस्ताव रखा है. केंद्रीय शहरी विकास मंत्रालय को लिखी चिट्ठी में दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने कहा है कि अगर केंद्र चाहे तो दिल्ली सरकार मेट्रो चलाने को तैयार है.'
