After a few very intense weeks and challenges we have arrived at the very last one. The NYX Nordic Face Awards Top 5 challenge. This challenge was all about combining the age old day of the dead traditions with classic beauty. This makeup borrows elements from the Mexican day of the dead celebrations as well as the old Aztec warriors.\r

To really make this look pop we start of by creating an Aztec inspired head and face piece. By looking back at the various designs of the Aztec warriors this is a very nice mix of both beauty, elegance and history. Matching this with a full headband with flowers and feathers to flirt with Mexican the day of the dead celebrations really ties the look together. \r

As for the makeup, a sharp edged modern skull design along with detailed tear ornaments and decorations really makes this look pop. Not stopping att the face, the look is extended down with the illusion of a skeleton chest breaking through the skin without going overboard with the bloody edges. History showed that this NYX Nordic Face Awards Top 5 entry made it all the way to the top and crowed Ellinor the winner!\r
